What is the Schlow Library Foundation?
The Schlow Library Foundation (formerly known as the Friends of Schlow Library) is made up of community volunteers who give their time because they love the Library. The Foundation provides crucial funding support for the programs and services at Schlow Library. This support is made possible by donations of all sizes to the Foundation by community members.
The role of the Schlow Library Foundation also includes important advocacy, financial investment, and volunteer support for the Library, with an eye towards a sustainable future.
The Foundation is working to ensure that the Library services you cherish will continue without interruption through fundraising projects and outreach programs.
Donations to the Schlow Library Foundation are tax-deductible and make an immediate impact in your community. All donations made to the Foundation go directly to support the Library.

Schlow Library Foundation Book Sale
The Schlow Library Foundation Book Sale is back this year with books and literary themed merchandise at bargain prices. Join us Thursday, July 9 from 12pm-4pm, and Friday, July 10 and Saturday, July 11 from 9am-4pm in the Downsbrough Community Room. All proceeds benefit the Schlow Centre Region Library.
Bingo Night
Join Schlow on Friday, August 28th for an evening of fun and prizes as we host another fun bingo night! Doors open at 6:30pm.
We'll host 8 games over the night. Cards are 3 for $3, or 6 for $5 (cash only). We hope to see you there!
Pre-registration is recommended, either online or via phone at 814.237.6236. Players must be 18+.
Pat Moyer Memorial Readers' Garden
The Pat Moyer Memorial Readers' Garden is officially open! Come and enjoy this beautiful new space. The garden will be open when the Library is open daily provided there is no snow or ice on the ground in the garden area. The garden will close daily at sunset or when the Library closes, whichever comes first.

What does my donation fund?
Donations to the Schlow Library Foundation provide funding for ALL of the programs and services that Schlow Library provides to our patrons. Storytimes, Book Clubs, and special events; are just a few of the programs funded by donations. Thank you!
When can I make a donation?
We welcome donations any time. The two main publicized fundraisers are Centre Gives in May and our annual year-end appeal in October. Donations are accepted at any time of year.
Is there a yearly membership?
No, unlike the previous Friends of Schlow Library, the Schlow Library Foundation does not have a membership program.
