BookFestPA is a celebration of the written word. This year’s focus is broad and may include genre fiction, comics, memoirs, and nonfiction.

BookFestPA will be on Saturday, July 11, 2026 from 10am - 4pm on the Schlow Library parking lot grounds.

This event is held annually on Library grounds on the Saturday of the Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts which runs Wednesday through Sunday.

Future dates are Saturdays: July 17, 2027, July 15, 2028.  

Please note the following: 

• Genre representation will be curated to offer a broad visitor experience. 
• Please plan to supply your own table (6' or 8'), chair(s), and pop-up tent (no larger than 10'x10').
• Staff/volunteers will be available to watch tents for 10-15 min. breaks, though will not be permitted to perform sales. 
• It is recommended to have another adult with you to help out as it does become a long day. 
• We recommend the festival and local food vendors when you're looking for a snack or lunch. Water bottle filling stations are available on the first and second floors of the library.
• A dedicated professional website is required. Social media pages and online sale pages (ie. Amazon, etc.) will not be counted as such. 
• Priority will be given to applicants in the Centre County area and the surrounding counties.
• Locations for authors/illustrators/vendors will include the aboveground lot or the underground garage.   
• Cost: $60 per space.     

Important Dates: 

• Applications will be accepted until 5pm, on Friday, March 27. Note: This application does not guarantee acceptance.
• Applicants will be notified by Friday, April 10.   
• Accepted applicants must pay by 5pm, on Friday, May 1. Any unpaid spaces will be offered to the remaining applicants.
