The Penn State Asian, Pacific Islander, Desi American (APIDA) Caucus, in conjunction with the Paul Robeson Cultural Center, PanAPIDA Circle of Centre County, and State College Borough, partnered with Centre County schools as part of our 2026 APIDA Spring Festival. Pre-K to Grade 12 Students were invited to reflect on cultural identity, historical memory, and their visions for the future of the United States through writing and creative expression. The resulting reflections will hang in the #TeensCreate Gallery on the 2nd floor of Schlow Library throughout the month of May.
In honor of the 250th anniversary of the United States, the writing and art work on display celebrates Asian and Pacific Islander cultural experiences, responding to the prompt, “What does a just, inclusive, and hopeful future look like to you?”
